Between two sizes

If your dog sleeps stretched out, or sits at the top of a weight range, go one size up.

If your dog curls up tight, the smaller of the two is usually enough.

Measure your dog

With your dog lying down the way they normally sleep, measure from the nose to the base of the tail, then add four to six inches.

That number should fit inside the longer dimension of the size you're looking at.

Tape it out

Before you order, mark the footprint on the floor with masking tape, in the spot where the bed will live.

You'll see how much of the room it takes, and whether it clears the furniture around it.

Two dogs, and cats

For two dogs, go by their combined stretched-out length rather than their weight. For two who sleep touching, nori or sora is usually right.

ono suits most cats. kaya if you have a large cat, or two who share.
